The Palmirian writing is
represented by documents divided during the period that
goes between the year 9 BC until 273, this is the date of
Palmiria´s pillaging by Aurelio. The expansion of
this writing intimately tied to the development of
Palmiria´s commerce, that since the 1St century BC
until the 3 Rd century. It monopolised the transactions
between Occidental countries and Mesopotamia.
This writing is characterised by an overloaded
ornamentation, composed by circles, rings and rubrics;
this is a fruit of the substitution of paper by the
Aramaic cane. |
