| The Persopolitane writing, which first vestiges were discovered in Persopolisīs
city ruins is a cuneiform writing used to transcribe Persian language in the epoch of
king Aquemenid (6 Th, 7 Th century BC).
It is almost an alphabetic writing in which the vowel is considered inherent to the
consonant. The origin of this writing is still unknown, although the Greek tradition
conferred this invention to Darios. |
