The Egypt hieroglyphic writing was used since the 5 Th century BC to the 4 Th century. Each sign reproduced directly or not the pretended object, in its origin. Sooner the signs acquired a phonetic value that overlapped the ideograph value without replacing it. Hieroglyphs served the profane traditions as well as the sacred ones. They have been engraved in small relief above a hard material (stone, wood or metal). The hieroglyphic signs were designed in vertical and horizontal lines. The lecture could be done from the left to the right or vice versa, being the sense fixated by the figurative signs of humans or animals having this one the head turned to the top of the line.
