Wulfila, a Gothic bishop, placed in the course of the river Danube created the Gothic writing, he had the intention to translate the Holy Scriptures in his language. This writing is also called Moeso-Gothic to distinguish themselves from the German characters. They were known as Gothic and were inspired in the Greek alphabet. Wulfila resorted to runic signs to salient the sounds that Greek did not had.
The Gothic had an ephemeral existence, being today a simple curiosity. The Gothic terms were copied out in Latin characters.
