The Tamil language belongs to the family of Dravidics languages; it groups several idioms of Meridian India. Tamil owns an abundant literature and a considerable epigraph. The ancient inscriptions were found over the ceramics discovered in Virapatnam, near Pondichery, in the beginning of the 1 St century.
This language was born with the help of a neighbour writing, the Brahmans of Asoka, but adopted to Tamil`s phonetic system. This writing after complete and altered is still being used actually. The first impressions in the language Tamil are from the 14 Th century after the introduction of press, by the Portuguese mission in Malabar, in 1577.
