The Burmese characters are used to transcribe the spoken language until the China frontiers, in the region of Oriental India. The Burmese inherited his writing from the Mon people after having invaded his territory in 1057, this people definitely disappeared in1540 of our time. Despite of the Mon and Burmese language conferred to the characters different phonetic values, to writings are similar, the Burmese alphabet can be used to transcribe texts in Mon.
